Owning Versus Renting We own our machines and they are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergencies and to finish projects if time restrictions call for such a schedule. Some of our competitors rent underpowered machines as they are needed and slap a cell phone number on their pickup truck... FYI: A lot of Rental Bobcats **ARE NOT** designed to be in the woods, or for that matter, have enough horsepower or safety equipment to be used with a brush mower! Our prices are a little higher than the average guy because we keep our insurance up-to-date, run bigger, stronger machines, and are sales tax permitted. Does He Know What He Is Doing? You BET! Ask the contractor how much experience he actually has in the seat of the machine before you let him on your property. Yellow Dog is proud to have over 11,000 hours on Bobcat's, bulldozers, tractors, chippers, and recyclers. Not only is it our profession, it's what we do in our off time on our own family ranches. Familiarity and experience and state of the art equipment equal productivity. On Sales Tax The law in Texas requires that service providers collect sales tax for many covered services. There are exempt services such as cedar and brush clearing for water conservation,and real property services, however. Please check with the comptroller if you have questions about the new rules for 2011-2012 regarding Agricultural exemptions. Unfortunately, wildlife exemption valuation property is not eligible for sales tax relief. We have seen all too often our competitors literally camp out on their customer's property.
